Photography on the Trail: A Workshop by Cameron Gillie

Cameron Gillie is a professional photographer who has taken photos of everything from Mount Kilamanjaro to Cuba to the entirety of the Ice Age Trail. Join Cameron at the Ice Age Trail Alliance Headquarters for a morning of photography and time on the Trail. This special workshop will teach you how to adjust your camera for the conditions you might experience out on Trail.

For this workshop, you will need a camera with manual settings. Additional cameras are available on a first-first, first-served basis. Email sarahd@iceagetrail.org for more information. 

• • 9:30-10:00 – The building will be open at 9:30. Come grab a coffee, hot chocolate, pastries and fruit, take a look at the merchandise, and chat with other workshop attendees.

  • 10:00-11:00 – Cameron Gillie will do a short indoor introduction to adjust your camera, talk about his journey on the Ice Age Trail, and how photography inspired him to get out and hike!

  • 11:00-12:00 – We'll take what you learned and head outside to the Cross Plains Segment of the Ice Age Trail. Cameron will provide instruction on how to adjust your camera while we practice taking pictures.

Workshop is $30 per person. Capacity is limited.
